A very popular docking station is the Toshiba PA3541U-2PRP Dynadock USB docking station. There are other models available by Toshiba mostly depending on your monitor size and needs.

As far as what operation system works best with this Toshiba model XP does, what else is new? Some people have problems with Vista but the manufacturer is reportedly on top of this. I have no information at this time on Windows 7.

A very cool feature is the ability to connect 3 monitors at once. You can use your laptop monitor as one of of the 3.

And of course like the title says it's all about USB connectivity which is very convenient and time consuming. Like most peripherals have the latest driver from the manufacturer which is easy to obtain is important.

Another out of the box must have feature is the 7.1 channel surround sound via the S/PDIF port.

If you have a laptop or notebook and you need to stretch out quickly then this Toshiba docking station is worth giving a serious look.
